The following Index has been compiled from multiple sources, primarily the International Genealogical Index (IGI) operated by the Church of the Latter Day Saints.  The IGI, whilst providing an additional resource, is tainted by occasional entries fuelled by enthusiasm rather than historical accuracy.  This is supplemented by data from privateer websites.  Some of the information is therefore speculative.  Note that there is no recorded link between the various family clusters listed below and the von Diepholz/van Diepholt family, and there may not in fact be any.  Every endeavour has been made to attribute sources; please advise any omissions or additional data to kpmsmd@hotmail.com
